You can leave a legacy of great parks and abundant green space for future generations by including Legacy Parks Foundation in your estate planning. For more information on IRA charitable contributions or planned giving, please contact us.
Many companies match their employees’ contribution to the Foundation. Please check with your payroll office to see if that option is available. If your company does not currently match but is interested in learning more, please contact us.
Protecting land through the Foundation allows you to help expand our park and green space holdings and influence how the land will be used for generations to come.
Donated land of all types has value to the Foundation. Many properties can become parks, greenways or scenic areas. Other property may be sold and the proceeds used to fund the Foundation’s land conservation efforts.
A conservation easement is a good option if you own land with important natural, cultural or historic resources and wish to maintain your private property rights.
Potentially significant federal tax benefits may occur with both land donations and conservation easement. Please contact us to learn more.
Donating needed goods or services to the Foundation is a welcome way for you to help defray the Foundation’s operating costs while potentially benefiting from a tax deduction for the fair market value of the gift. Please contact us to learn which goods and services are most needed.
The annual Legacy Luncheon for the Parks celebrates the importance of parks and recreational opportunities to the health and vitality of our community and the work of Legacy Parks Foundation in expanding and maintaining these invaluable assets. Set in the midst of one of Knox County’s beautiful parks, the picnic style luncheon is attended by a crowd of 500 business and community leaders anxious to celebrate and hear the announcement of new, key initiatives.
Sponsorship of the Legacy Luncheon for the Parks aligns your company with popularly supported community initiatives and demonstrates your investment in a “green” organization with true region-wide impact. Sponsorships are available at several levels with the option for customized benefits. Please contact Carol Evans at 865.525.2585 to learn more.
