Pete McBride to Speak at Legacy Luncheon for the Parks

We are excited to announce that National Geographic Explorer, Pete McBride, will be our featured speaker at the Legacy Luncheon for the Parks on October 19 at the beautiful Holston River Farm at the Head of the Tennessee River. The annual luncheon funds the work of Legacy Parks Foundation to conserve green space, create public places, and connect our community. It is the Foundation’s only major fundraising event of the year.

Pete McBride is an award-winning photographer, writer and visual storyteller whose love of adventure, cultures and the outdoors have taken him on assignment to over 75 countries for the National Geographic Society, Smithsonian, Outside, Esquire, Microsoft, The Nature Conservancy – documenting remote expeditions from Everest to Antarctica. Over the last year, McBride hiked the entire length of Grand Canyon National Park—over 700 miles without a trail – earning him the honor of National Geographic “Adventurer of the Year.”

Over 1,000 civic leaders attended the Legacy Luncheon last year. Reserved tables for 10 and sponsorships are now available by calling Legacy Parks at 865.525.2585 or reserving your table online.
